Search in ToMe is free and understands meaning, not just keywords — so you can find that thing even when you don't remember the exact words.
Search (keyword + meaning)
Type anything; results blend exact keyword matches with on-device semantic understanding.
- Open search and type a word, phrase or idea.
- Results rank by relevance and update as you type.
Semantic search
Search by concept — "photography tips" finds items about cameras, lighting and composition.
- Just search normally; meaning-based matching runs on-device and works offline.
Tag search & tag cloud
Filter to a single label, or browse your most-used tags when search is empty.
- Type #tag or tag:name to filter.
- Leave search empty to see a cloud of your top tags with counts.
Spotlight
Find ToMe items from the iOS Home Screen or Mac Spotlight, with previews.
- Search from Spotlight (swipe down, or ⌘-Space on Mac).
- Tap a result to jump straight into the item. Protected spaces are never indexed.
Ask ToMe
Re-rank your results by asking in plain language for what you actually want.
- Run a search, then tap the Ask ToMe pill.
- Describe what you're after; the best match is highlighted.
Activity heatmap
A calendar of your saving activity to rediscover what you filed on a given day.
- Settings → Activity to see your heatmap, streak and totals.
- Tap a day to list what you saved then.
Common questions
Do I need Pro to search?
No. Fuzzy search, semantic search, tag search and Spotlight are all free. Ask ToMe — natural-language re-ranking — is a Pro feature on iOS 27.
Does search work offline?
Yes. Keyword and semantic search run entirely on-device, so they work without a connection.
